
Special Olympics MO Law Enforcement Torch Run Fundraiser
- May 4th visit Colton's or order takeout between 11:30
a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Colton's Steakhouse and Grill has volunteered
to partner with the LETR and SOMO. The Special Olympics MO
Law Enforcement Torch Run will again be coming to FLW in May
2015. Please support this great cause and help us pass the
word.
Relay For Life of Pulaski County - May 5th at Waynesville
Patriot 12 for Rewards Day! Help us reach our goal of $45,000
this year! Celebrate with us on Thursday, May 14th as we kickoff
the 18th annual Relay For Life of Pulaski County event season!
Bingo Night at the Hampton Inn Doors open at 6:00 p.m., $3/pack
or 2/$5. Food for sale, prizes donated by area businesses,
contest for best dressed 80's costume, and learn more about
your local Relay For Life.
Mother-Son Date Night - May 8th, the Mother-Son Date Night is
scheduled for Friday from 5pm to 7pm at the St. Robert Community
Center. Entertainment will be provided by Pyro Pat Productions.
Tickets are $20 per couple and $5 per additional son. Vendors

Painting Class - May 8th, the Arts and Crafts Frame
Shop is hosting a new and trendy painting class! Enjoy the
relaxed atmosphere while socializing, painting and enjoying
the beverage of the night. Painting Class is from 6:00 p.m.
to 9:00 p.m. at Pershing Community Center. Theme is Poppies
Flowers. Cost is $50 and includes 2 tickets for cocktails
and a take home 16 x 20 acrylic canvas painting that you have

Herman. Life is a cabaret and so is this show-and as we all
know, it's always more entertaining when you add a little

Chamber Quarterly +1 Luncheon - May 13th
at 11:30 a.m. at the Hampton Inn with Vidies Catering. Our
sponsor will be the Free Women's Center. Please contact the
Chamber Office to RSVP before 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12th.
**Please note** The Chamber of Commerce is excited to
have such a large number of its members attend monthly luncheons.
Unfortunately, due to the large number of last minute Chamber
luncheon attendees a policy has been put into place by the
Chamber Board of Directors. This policy started in APRIL 2005;
anyone who responds after the R.s.v.p. cut-off time (9:00
a.m. the Tuesday before the luncheon) or shows up without
an R.s.v.p. may be charged an additional $10. If an R.s.v.p.
is received and they do not attend the luncheon there may
be a $10 charged for the meal. The decision was made to charge
this amount to compensate our Chamber member restaurants for
the last minute adjusts they must make to their menus.
3K Fun Run for Families - May 16th, University of
Missouri Extension will be operating a fundraising function.
It will be a 3K Fun Run with a dual focus on Individual Runners
and Family Runners/Walkers. Registration is already open by
calling our office at 573-774-6177 or our emailing us at Pulaskico@missouri.edu.
Day of registration begins at 7:00 AM and the event itself
begins at 7:30 a.m. and is scheduled to end at 9:00 a.m. The
cost is $10 per person for Individual Runners and $15 for
Family Runners/Walkers. 50 Race participants will receive
a commemorative race T-shirt. No chip timing. Proceeds benefit
your local 4-H and the Pulaski County University of Missouri
Extension Office.
Memorial Day Ceremony - May 25th, the AAMVC will be
assisting the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in hosting a Memorial
Day Ceremony on Monday at 1pm. The general public is encouraged
to attend the ceremony. General Parking will be in the lower
parking lot on Polla Road and shuttles will be provided to
bring everyone up to the cemetery. Handicapped Parking will
be on the cemetery grounds.
Eggs & Issues - May 27th, the Waynesville-St.
Robert Chamber welcomes State Senator Dan Brown, State Representative
Steve Lynch, and State Representative Robert Ross to its annual
Eggs and Issues Lunch at the Hampton Inn beginning at 11:30
a.m. This event, sponsored by CenturyLink, is one of the highlights
of the year as our local State Senator and Representative
report on the issues and challenges brought to the State of
Missouri during its most recent session and answer questions
from the audience. This is a Chamber members only event. There
is no charge and the meal is being provided by CenturyLink
and catered by Andy's 417. We still ask that you R.s.v.p.

by 9 a.m. May 22nd to reserve your seat at this 'must attend'
event (the standing reservation list
for Chamber luncheons does not apply to this event).

Superhero 5K walk/fun run - June 13th,
PCRMC presents the 3rd Annual Superhero 5K. The 5K will take
place at the Lions Club Park in Rolla. Registration starts
at 8:00 a.m. with the race following at 9:00 a.m. Cost is
$25 for ages 13-98; $15 for ages 12 & under; and Free
for ages 10 & under. All registrations include a t-shirt
and chip time. Register online.
All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. Superheroes
will be in full attire to meet with children after the race.
