I
would like to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers
you have shown me during my recent health concerns. It was
a tough time but I think we have resolved everything. It
feels good to be back in the office! I appreciate the Board
and Ambassadors for all they did to support the staff in
my absence. I can never thank Jenna and Leanna enough for
all they did to keep the office and events running. They
are amazing considering that they recently celebrated their
one year anniversary at the Chamber!

The staff and I attended the MAKO conference
in Branson. This was the second year for the four state
Chamber conference and we learned lots of fun ideas to help
our members. Thanks to Marsha Hughes for volunteering to
cover the office will we were gone.

NOTES
FROM THE ROUBIDOUX
I was humbled to be elected mayor of Waynesville in the April
election. The confidence shown to me by the citizens is something
I will treasure forever. I chose Waynesville as my home in
1971 and after a teaching career with the Waynesville Schools,
I began an eight year involvement in city government.
I have a four year plan of projects for the City. My first
goal is to improve communication with the citizens and the
community. We will be launching a new website shortly, as
well as a Facebook page for the City of Waynesville MO. We
will also be publishing a monthly newsletter that will be
available electronically, as well as a print version. Commercial
development and a focus on tourism and the Roubidoux will
be the center of my planning. The City Council will be holding
a study session in early May to discuss their ideas and thoughts
for making our City a better place to live and raise a family.
I will be "Community Minded" and "Business
Minded". I look forward to working with our neighbors,
Fort Wood and St. Robert, and also, being part of the Chamber
of Commerce family. I will be available and open to suggestions.

made to charge this amount to compensate our Chamber member

their menus.
