Ribbon Cutting for Denny's - August 8th at 10 a.m. at 231 St. Robert Blvd. in St. Robert.

High 5 Fashion Show and Jazz Concert - August 8th, Come out to the St. Robert Community Center at 6 p.m. for a Fashion Show, Dinner, and Jazz Concert featuring Jazz Guitarist Jeffery Smith. Tickets are $40, for more information and to purchase tickets call 573-336-2336.

50/50 Poker Shoot Tournament - Aug 8th from 6 p.m.-9 p.m at Bow & Barrel Sportsmen Center located at 22940 Harlan Ln. Call 573-433-9140 for more information.

Conceal Carry Class - August 8th & 9th is the next Conceal Carry Class. The class is taught by Advanced Performance Shooting, hosted by Waynesville Gun and Pawn (and owner Don Bordwell is one of the instructors). The classroom portion is 6-10 p.m.on Friday at the store (105 Historic 66, Waynesville), then the class will meet at 8:00 Saturday morning and caravan to the range for qualification shooting and practical instruction. Everyone will be back to the store by 12:00 for graduation. Cost is $70. The State of Missouri requires participants to qualify with both a semi-auto and a revolver, loaners are available upon request. Home Food Preservation - August 12th, Learn pressure canning techniques. The class will be at the Waynesville-St. Robert Senior Center from 6-8:30 p.m. The fee is $15. Music Trivia - August 12th, Come out for a evening a Music Trivia on Tuesday at 6:00 pm in the St. Robert Community Center. Cost to participate is $10 per person (teams are encouraged). Enjoy Food, Drinks, Raffles, & Great Music. Proceeds benefit the Kitten Division. Presented Route 66 Candy Shoppe and hosted by KFLW 98.9 "The Fort".

Chamber Quarterly +1 Luncheon - August 13th at 11:30 a.m. at the The ARK Community and Sports Center with catering by Sweetwater BBQ. Our sponsor will be Ozarks Technical Community College. Please contact the Chamber Office to RSVP before 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 12th.

**Please note** The Chamber of Commerce is excited to have such a large number of its members attend monthly luncheons. Unfortunately, due to the large number of last minute Chamber luncheon attendees a policy has been put into place by the Chamber Board of Directors. This policy started in APRIL 2005; anyone who responds after the R.s.v.p. cut-off time (9:00 a.m. the Tuesday before the luncheon) or shows up without an R.s.v.p. may be charged an additional $10. If an R.s.v.p. is received and they do not attend the luncheon there may be a $10 charged for the meal. The decision was made to charge this amount to compensate our Chamber member restaurants for the last minute adjusts they must make to their menus.

The Swon Brothers - August 14th, The Swon Brothers will perform at Leach Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and go on sale Monday, July 21 at 9:00 a.m.. Leach Theatre box office is located at 400 W 10th Street( CASTLEMAN HALL) or call 573-341-4219. Purchase your tickets in advance and receive a free beverage coupon to use on the night of the concert.

Ribbon Cutting for Real Estate Maintenance Management Services - August 15th at 4 p.m. at the Chamber Office, 137 St. Robert Blvd. in St. Robert.

Run/Walk for the Fallen 2014 - August 16th at Gammon Field, Fort Leonard Wood. Registration is at 6:30 a.m., run starts at 7:30 a.m. individual fee is $15 and groups or units with over 25 personnel is $10 free t-shirt with registration. T-shirts without registration is $15. Cardboard Boat Race - August 16th, Gather some cardboard, a team of volunteers and register now through August 15th to build your own watercraft for the annual Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Cardboard Boat Race. The race, which is scheduled for 10 a.m., August 16th at the lake at Training Area 250, is open to the public. Registration is free and available online at www.fortleonrdwoodmwr.com. St. Robert-Waynesville Night with the Cards - August 16th, Come to enjoy the St. Robert/Waynesville Night with the Cards! Game starts at 7:10 p.m. Tickets will be available at the City Halls, The Pulaski County Tourism Bureau and the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber.

Job Fair - August 21st, Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler is once again holding a Job Fair at the Cowan Civic Center in Lebanon, Missouri, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There is no cost for you to participate. Throughout the day she will be meeting in small groups with participating employers to hear your thoughts about the job market and ideas on how to grow the economy.

Operation Workforce Job Fair - August 28th at the St. Robert Community Center from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce presents the 10th Annual Operation Workforce Job Fair. Operation Workforce is a workforce recruitment program promoting the connection between employees seeking part-time/full-time positions with employers providing those employment opportunities. Retiree Appreciation Days - September 5th & 6th, is the 35th Annual Retiree Appreciation Days on Fort Leonard Wood. Activities commence with a golf tournament and luncheon, followed later in the day by a retirement and retreat ceremony and finally a dinner. There will be a guest speaker the second day of the event, along with a health and benefits fair at Nutter Field House. Call 573-596-0947 for additional information.

Relay For Life of Pulaski County - September 20th, 12:00 p.m. -12:00 a.m. at The ARK Community and Sports Center: Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated. This 12 hour fundraising walk is organized by local volunteers to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Live entertainment, games, food, and community support make this an event you won't want to miss! 20th Annual Military Police Regimental Golf Tournament - September 26th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The tournament will be held at the Piney Valley Golf Course on Fort Leonard Wood, MO and is open to all Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, Retired Military, and civilian personnel affiliated with the Military Police Corps Regiment. A fee of $60 per person includes Green Fees, Cart, Meal, and Driving Range. All reservations will be on standby status until payment is received. Active and Retired MPs, DA Civilians associated with MP units, and MP Family members will have priority and must be paid by August 1st then open to all others until September 22nd. Frog Races - October 4th the 7th Annual Frog Races will be held by the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Frogtober Fest at the Waynesville City Park. "Adopt" a frog for $5 or a team of 3 for $10. Frogs will race down the Roubidoux and the first heat will begin at 1 p.m. The Frog Race is sponsored by Sonic Drive In.
