Kids Night Out! - No Parents Allowed is Friday, October 4, 2013 from 6-9PM. This month's theme is Fun Times in the Fall at the ARK Community and Sports Center.

Frog Races - October 5th the 6th Annual Frog Races will be held by the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Frogtober Fest at the Waynesville City Park. "Adopt" a frog for $5 or a team of 3 for $10. Frogs will race down the Roubidoux and the first heat will begin at 1 p.m. The Frog Race is sponsored by Sonic Drive In. Drive 4UR Community Event - October 5th, Ford Test Drive Fundraiser for the Armed Services YMCA sponsored by Sellers-Sexton Ford. Drive for your Community Event from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. When you test drive a new Ford vehicle and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the Armed Services YMCA for a maximum of $6,000. Each driver will receive a case of Huggies diapers, while supplies last, sizes 3, 4, 5 available only (1 per family). Must be 18 years old with a valid drivers license.

Breakfast Fundraiser for "Wreaths Across America"- October 6th, 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. Francis J. Lynch Memorial VFW Post 3168 will host Breakfast Fundraiser for: "Wreaths Across America" 100% of proceeds Benefit the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Veterans Service Officer available to help Veterans submit claims/referrals for disability benefits.

Chamber Luncheon - October 9th at 11:45 a.m. at The Hub German Restaurant. Our sponsor will be Ireland Architects. Please contact the Chamber Office to RSVP before 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 8th. Seating is Limited.

**Please note** The Chamber of Commerce is excited to have such a large number of its members attend monthly luncheons. Unfortunately, due to the large number of last minute Chamber luncheon attendees a policy has been put into place by the Chamber Board of Directors. This policy started in APRIL 2005; anyone who responds after the R.s.v.p. cut-off time (9:00 a.m. the Tuesday before the luncheon) or shows up without an R.s.v.p. may be charged an additional $10. If an R.s.v.p. is received and they do not attend the luncheon there may be a $10 charged for the meal. The decision was made to charge this amount to compensate our Chamber member restaurants for the last minute adjusts they must make to their menus

Chamber Community Pride Night - October 11th at 5:00 p.m. in front of the new ninth grade center. Join the Chamber at a tailgate party before the Homecoming Football Game of the Waynesville High School Tigers. Free hot dogs and soda handed out during the event. Ribbon Cutting for Ogle Chiropractic and Rehab - October 15th at 1 p.m. at 103 Ichord Ave., Ste. B in Waynesville.

Blues on the Porch - October 19th at 4:00 p.m., bring your family, friends, group and lawn chairs to 577 Old Route 66, STM parking lot. The Sanctified Blues Band will mix the traditional gospel blues with some very edgy blues guitar and passionate vocals. Donations will be taken at the gate. All proceeds will benefit Hi-5 Community Development Corporation Annual Thanksgiving Food Baskets Giveaway. For vender information or to participate call 573-336-2336.

Oktoberfest on the Square - October 19th from 11:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. on the Waynesville Square. Waynesville Route 66 Fest presents the 3rd Annual Downtown Oktoberfest. Come join in all the fun! Chamber office Closed for the Morning- October 21st, the office will be closed for the Chamber Board Retreat. Reopening at 1:00 p.m.

Skeleton Scamper Costume 5K Run/Walk - October 26th, Skeleton Scamper Costume 5K Run/Walk. It will take place in Waynesville. Registration begins that day at 7:00 am, the event begins at 8:30 am. Pre-registration is available at the Extension Office before October 18th for $20, event day registration is $25 The first 100 race participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt. Paranormal Investigations - Celebrate the Halloween Season with The Talbot House now through October 31st. Groups of 8, must be 18 years or older to investigate. It'll be an evening you won't soon forget! Call 573-528-2149 to reserve your date.

Annual Holiday Craft & Antique Fair - November 16th, Fort Wood Community Spouses' Club is holding their annual Holiday Craft and Antique Fair from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. at Nutter Field House. The event features Antiques and Original handmade crafts, hot food at Santa's Kitchen, baked goods at Mrs. Claus' Pantry. Santa will be arriving at 13:30. Admission is $4.00 ages 12 & up. Benefit Dance - November 17th at 2 p.m. in the St. Robert Community Center. The Travelers, Duck 'n Dive and Twilight Twirlers are hosting a benefit dance for Railan, Billy and Lulie Aistrope's father who is fighting cancer. All proceeds from this dance will go to the family.
