Chamber Operation Workforce Job Fair - August 8th has been cancelled.

Community Information Resource Expo - August 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Army Volunteer Corps and Army Community Service is planning to host a Community Information Resource Expo in Nutter Field House. The expo is designed to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn about the community, meet others who are active participants in the community and allow organizations who use volunteer support to promote their programs and organizations. Organizations wishing to participate in the Community Information Expo have until July 26 to register. For more information call 573-596-0212.

Lebanon AUSA Picnic - August 8th at Great Life Golf and Fitness in Lebanon following the "Friends of the Fort" Golf Outing. Enjoy a great meal including beverages served by Ozark Coke and MO Eagle, entertainment, and an opportunity to thanks to FLW's best! Click link for details.

Local 28 Memorial Ride - August 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Riders meet at the Pulaski County Shrine Club. There is no cost, the event consists of a cemetery run, and then a ride to honor those lost. For more information call 573-586-7291.

Chamber Quarterly +1 Luncheon - August 14th at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Robert Community Center and catered by Vidies Bistro. Our sponsor will be Waynesville R-VI School District. Please contact the Chamber Office to RSVP before 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 13th.

**Please note** The Chamber of Commerce is excited to have such a large number of its members attend monthly luncheons. Unfortunately, due to the large number of last minute Chamber luncheon attendees a policy has been put into place by the Chamber Board of Directors. This policy started in APRIL 2005; anyone who responds after the R.s.v.p. cut-off time (9:00 a.m. the Tuesday before the luncheon) or shows up without an R.s.v.p. may be charged an additional $10. If an R.s.v.p. is received and they do not attend the luncheon there may be a $10 charged for the meal. The decision was made to charge this amount to compensate our Chamber member restaurants for the last minute adjusts they must make to their menus

Run for the Fallen - August 17th 6:30 a.m. at Gammon Field, Fort Leonard Wood. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m., the run starts 7:30 a.m. In honor of the men and women who have fallen in battle. 10th Annual Feed the Children Back to School Extravaganza - August 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at The ARK Community and Sports Center. Presented by local churches. Free hair cuts, dental and hygiene care, and special needs resources. Hotdogs, bounce house, games, popcorn, face painting and so much more. Concealed Carry Weapons Class - August 18th, The Outdoor Adventure Center is hosting Concealed Carry Weapons Class; the first step in acquiring a Missouri CCW endorsement including weapons qualification on the range. Class is 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Cost is $15 to register, $65 day of class. Each student must bring a photo ID, eye and hearing protection, semi-automatic handgun and a revolver (plus minimum of 50 round each), and lunch or money for food. All handguns must be in good working condition. Class is open to the public 21 years. and older. Interested patrons must be registered the day prior to class at the Outdoor Adventure Center located in Bldg. 2290 FLW K Road. For more information call 573-596-4223.

Fort Leonard Wood Leadership Welcome Dinner - August 26th at 6:00 p.m. at the Hampton Inn, hosted by Committee of Fifty. Dress is Coat & Tie, $15 per person. Please RSVP by August 13, 2013 by calling 573-336-5121 or send an email to info@wsrchamber.com.

Grand Opening for the OTC - August 22nd, Your invited to the Grand Opening for the OTC Waynesville Center. A program will begin at 10 a.m. and refreshments will be served. The center is located at 600 GW Lane Street.

Pulaski County Shine Club BBQ Cook-off - August 31st from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Pulaski County Shrine Club at 26920 Shrine Rd. in Waynesville. There is no entry fee. Benefit 4-Person Scramble - September 2nd, Kids Harbor is hosting a benefit 4-person scramble golf tournament at Dogwood Hills Golf Resort. Registration is 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m Shotgun Start, the $85 entry includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, lunch, and cash prizes. St. Louis Cardinal's Military Appreciation Day - September 7th at Busch Stadium. Over 1400 tickets available to our Chapter and FLW. Come see our Cardinals beat up on the Pittsburgh Pirates! $53 face value ticket reduced to $30 for Corporate members and $10 for Active Duty Soldiers and family members. Kids Harbor Homemade Boat Races - September 8th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Homemade boat races, duck paddle races, canoe and kayak races, stand up paddle boat races and paddle boat races. Sponsors needed. Gold sponsorship $500 and Silver sponsorship $250. Contact Cara at 573-348-6886.

MPRA Golf Tournament - September 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The tournament will be held at the Piney Valley Golf Course on Fort Leonard Wood, and is open to all Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, Retired Military, and civilian personnel affiliated with the Military Police Corps Regiment.
