Chamber Office Closed - July 4th in celebration of Independence Day. Have a safe and happy holiday!

MWR Independence Day Celebration - July 4th at 3:00 p.m. The Family & MWR and Fort Leonard Wood invite you join us for our Annual MWR Independence Day Celebration beginning at 3pm at the Gammon Field (Iowa Ave). Celebrate our Independence with various games and activities for the entire family to include military vehicle displays, horse shoes tournament, interactive games, watermelon eating/seed spitting contest, car show and more and check out performances from the 399th Army ROck Band "The Woodchucks" and Trixie Delight. The Salute to the Union will begin at 7pm, followed by the US Army Soldier Show at 7:30pm with the area's largest fireworks display after the completion of the Soldier Show. Concessions from various vendors and a variety of booths will be available. So come out; bring your lawn chairs and/or blanket and enjoy a fun and FREE event! Open to the public. US Army Soldier Show - July 4th at 7:30 p.m. Step right up to the best show in town, Family and MWR present the 2012 US Army Soldier Show. The entertainment for the Soldiers by the Soldiers is back once again to entertain our Soldiers and families on July 4th. The 90 minute song and dance production is designed to accentuate the strengths and resiliency of Soldiers and Military Families through modern songs, current hits, vibrant costuming, exciting choreography and spectacular visuals. The theme this year mirror's the Chief of Staff's motto which is, "The strength of our Army is our Soldiers, the strength of our solderis is our families, and that's what makes us Army Strong." The show is designed to follow that theme and to highlight the strength aspect all the way through. The US Army Soldier Show will take place in Gammon Field at 7:30pm. Blood Drive at Cross Creek Realty - July 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the Bloodmobile will be at 123 Ichord Avenue in Waynesville. All ages 16 -21 who attempt to donate blood or platelets ware eligible to win a $5,000 scholarship. All presenting donors will receive a Rock-N-Roll t-shirt and be eligible to win a Gibson guitar. **Please note** The Chamber of Commerce is excited to have such a large number of its members attend monthly luncheons. Unfortunately, due to the large number of last minute Chamber luncheon attendees a policy has been put into place by the Chamber Board of Directors. This policy started in APRIL 2005; anyone who responds after the R.s.v.p. cut-off time (9:00 a.m. the Tuesday before the luncheon) or shows up without an R.s.v.p. may be charged an additional $10. If an R.s.v.p. is received and they do not attend the luncheon there may be a $10 charged for the meal. The decision was made to charge this amount to compensate our Chamber member restaurants for the last minute adjusts they must make to their menus.

Chamber Membership Social - July 12th at 6:00 p.m. at the Hampton Inn in St. Robert. Show your business pride by dressing up to represent your business. The Chamber is made up of a diverse group of local businesses that make this community a great place to live, shop, and explore! Come out to meet your fellow Chamber members and show off your business. There will be prizes for the most creative business representation. Sponsoring this event is Citizens Mortgage Company with Celebrations Catering providing heavy hors d'oeuvres. This annual membership social is a night of networking, fun and entertainment. WoofStock - July 13th beginning at 7:30 p.m at the St. Robert Community Center. This event is a Candy Coburn concert with Kricket Alley opening. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Child tickets ages 12 and under are $10. Proceeds will go to help the Pulaski County Humane Society and Shelter of Texas County.

106th Army Ceremonial Band Concert - Sunday, July 22nd from 2 - 4 p.m. the band will be performing on the Old Courthouse lawn in front of museum. They will present concert/patriotic Music, jazz, and rock. Bring your folding chairs, blankets, and coolers. There will be bottled water available. This concert is free and open to the public. The band is from the Arkansas Army National Guard in North Little Rock, Arkansas, they are under the Command of CW2 Keith Dortch and conducted by SFE Mark Wallace. This event is being sponsored by the PC Museum/Historical Society In association with the Waynesville Downtown Business Association and the City of Waynesville/Park Board.

Armed Services YMCA Duck Race - July 28th 2012 in conjunction with Old Settler's Day at the Waynesville City Park. The field consists of 72 ducks. Six qualifying heats will be held and the first and second place winners from each heat will be eligible to compete in the Championship Race. All ducks eliminated in the heats may compete in the Consolation Race. To sponsor a duck, organizations, businesses or individuals pay a $100.00 entry fee. In return, they receive a decoy duck to name, decorate and train. In addition, they receive 50 tickets to sell for $1.00 each to defray the cost of the entry fee.
