Ribbon Cutting for Anytime Fitness - July 7th at 10 a.m. at 1104 Historic Rt. 66 W, Ste. A in Waynesville.

PCHS Yappy Hour - July 7th at 6:30 p.m. Leash up the dogs and join us for a stroll through one of Pulaski County's local parks on the first Thursday of each month. Our next Yappy Hour will be on July 7 at 6:30 pm at St. Robert City Park, J. H. Williamson Drive, we will meet you and your four-legged friends at the pavilion.

Pulaski County Historical Society quarterly nighttime meeting - July 7th at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at 415 Historic Rt 66, Waynesville MO.

Commander's Golf Scramble - July 8th with a shotgun start at 12:00 p.m. at Piney Valley Golf Course. Scramble consists of a four person team. Cost is $35 per person/$30 PVGC member includes greens fees and cart. Food and beverages will be provided. For more information call 573-329-4770.

Ribbon Cutting for Air Choice One Airlines - July 8th at 12:30 p.m. at the General Aviation Terminal at Bldg. 5017 Iowa Ave. on Ft. Leonard Wood.

5K Run/Walk to Benefit Joplin Elementary School Sponsored by Columbia College - July 9th registration will start at 6:30 a.m. and the race will start at 7:00 a.m. The first 50 people to register will receive a free t-shirt. The Ark Community & Sports Center Grand Opening - July 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be live music, door prizes, and children's activities. **Please note** The Chamber of Commerce is excited to have such a large number of its members attend monthly luncheons. Unfortunately, due to the large number of last minute Chamber luncheon attendees a policy has been put into place by the Chamber Board of Directors. This policy started in APRIL 2005; anyone who responds after the R.s.v.p. cut-off time (9:00 a.m. the Tuesday before the luncheon) or shows up without an R.s.v.p. may be charged an additional $10. If an R.s.v.p. is received and they do not attend the luncheon there may be a $10 charged for the meal. The decision was made to charge this amount to compensate our Chamber member restaurants for the last minute adjusts they must make to their menus.

Chamber Membership Social - July 14th at 6 p.m. at the Hampton Inn. Sponsoring this event is Citizens Mortgage Company with Vidies Catering providing the food. This annual membership social is a night of networking, fun and entertainment. The cost is $15.00 per person. MWR Movie in the Park - July 16th at 8:30 p.m. at Colyer Park. Enjoy "The Green Hornet" with friends and family under the stars! Bring your own blanket and chairs. No pets allowed. Senior Golf Tour - July 19th with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. The Piney Valley Golf Course is hosting their annual Senior Tour. Cost is $30 per person, $25 for PVGC members, includes breakfast. Movie in the Park - July 21st from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON will be on a big screen in the St. Robert Municipal Park. We provide the movie; you bring the chairs, blankets. Concessions will be available for purchase during the event. Admission is free.

Texas Hold'em Tournament - July 23rd registration will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the St. Robert Community Center. For more information contact St. Robert Park and Rec. at 573-451-3317.

Old Settlers Day - July 30th, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Old Settlers Day is celebrated the last Saturday in July which has a full weekend. The Old Stagecoach Stop sponsors this Old Settlers Day. It is the oldest city festival. Events are scheduled in the City Park, one block west, along with food and craft vendors. www.oldstagecoachstop.org

22nd Annual Duck Race - July 30th 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in conjunction with Old Settler's Day. The field consists of 72 ducks. Six qualifying heats will be held and the first and second place winners from each heat will be eligible to compete in the Champion-ship Race. All ducks eliminated in the heats may compete in the Consolation Race. Contact the ASYMCA at 573-329-4513 for more information.

Operation Workforce Job Fair - August 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce presents the 7th Annual Operation Workforce Job Fair at the St. Robert Community Center. Operation Workforce is a workforce recruitment program promoting the connection between employees seeking part-time/full-time positions with employers providing those employment opportunities. Military Appreciation Day at the Missouri State Fair - August 14th Military Appreciation Day - "Show-Me Salutes" Missouri State Fair, Sedalia, Missouri. Ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. in Mathewson Exhibition Center. This event is to honor service men and women from all branches of the military, with special tribute going to Vietnam veterans. Admission is free to all veterans, active-duty members, National Guard, Reserve and retirees. Admission is $1.00 for family members.

Tops in Blue "Rhythm Nation" - August 17th at 6:30 p.m. at Baker Theater Family & MWR presents Tops in Blue "Rhythm Nation." The 2011 tour brings to life the music of America, from the early 1900s through today. The event is free and open to the public. For more information call 573-596-6913.

Military Appreciation Day, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball - September 10th the local and St. Louis AUSA Chapters are hosting a tailgate party in the southwest parking lot beginning at 3:00 p.m. Game time is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. with pre-game ceremony starting before. The CG and MCSM are slated to throw our ceremonial first pitches along with Scott AFB representatives. The 399th Army Band will play the National Anthem, and the Joint Services Color Guard will present the colors. Tickets may be purchased at the FLW ITR office, Building 490, phone: 573-329-8587. The St. Louis Cardinals will play the Atlanta Braves.
