New Event! Frogs on Parade will be officially unveiled during the Frog Fest celebration on May 3rd at the Waynesville City Park…do you have your frog yet?

There’s more than one frog making a splash in the community…there is an entire parade of them!  The Waynesville-St. Robert Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to unveil Frogs on Parade beginning May 3rd during the Frog Fest celebration in the Waynesville City Park.
You’ve seen them in the big cities, oversized fiberglass animals painted in an array of designs and colors sporting names such as “Caesar Dawgustus” or “Tune-a-Fish”.  Well get ready because they’re coming to our area in the form of a frog, celebrating the amphibian that has become a local mascot.  Frogs on Parade promises to be one of the biggest attractions to come to the Fort Leonard Wood, St. Robert and Waynesville area.
From artists and sponsors to tourists and local residents, this is a huge project that engages an entire community.  The process begins when local businesses, organizations or individuals decide to adopt a frog.  From there they will work to get their frog painted be it by themselves or a local artist.  Then the frogs will be mounted through out the area at various locations.  The real fun will be finding the frogs!  To help with that task there will be a printed directory, mapping out their locations.  Whether it’s a family looking for a Saturday activity or a visitor here for the day, Frogs on Parade will provide an afternoon of amusement.  The entertainment doesn’t stop there, Frogs on Parade will also have a web site you can visit to vote for your favorite frog!

This event is dependent on the participation of Chamber members!  It is with your help that we will be able to make this an attraction that people will come from all over the state to see!  When visitors stop by the Chamber office they’re usually looking for something to do.  Frogs on Parade provides us an opportunity to offer one more option that not only answers their need but exposes them to a number of our Chamber members.  Adopt a Frog sponsorships are $1000 and include one naked frog with base, an ad in the Frog directory, an ad on the Frog website and numerous name mentions in radio and newspaper advertisements.  The base of the frog will also include a plaque with the name of the frog and it’s adoptive party.  If you are unable to adopt a frog you can always Tadpole Sponsorships for $100 which will get you an ad on the website.

Area businesses and organizations are encouraged to be a part of this event and test their imagination to see what kind of frog they can create!
