3rd Annual Poker Run - August 8th, the 3rd Annual Poker Run benefiting Janet's Wish. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Activities include a raffle and silent auction. Cost is $20 per bike; $10 each extra hand. Special gift for the first 20 entries. Silent Auction goes until 6 p.m.

Tye-dye class - August 8th, Take a Tye-dye Class at the Waynesville Library on Saturday from 10 a.m. -12 p.m.

Sip & Shop - August 8th, Girl Haven Boutique & Salon presents a Direct Sales Tradeshow the 2nd Saturday of the month from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 945 E Missouri Ave., #2 in St. Robert. Email corwise@mail.com for more information and/or to be a vendor.

Rising Above Hunger - August 8th, RE/MAX Professional Realty will be hosting "Rising Above Hunger" from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. to raise funds for the "Snack in a Pack" Program at Waynesville, Missouri City Park. This program provides food to kids in need. RE/MAX Professional Realty will have the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon on location and giving free Tethered Flights. I am sure this will draw a very large number of people. We will also have several activities for children so it should be a fun time for all.

Ribbon Cutting for Waynesville Medical Plaza - August 11th at 2 p.m. at 100 GW Ln. in Waynesville.

Grand Opening - August 11th, please join Phelps County Regional Medical Center (PCRMC) in celebrating the grand opening of the Waynesville Medical Plaza from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. The PCRMC Waynesville Medical Plaza provides world-class physician, specialty and treatment services for patients and families living in Fort Leonard Wood, St. Robert, Waynesville and surrounding communities. Enjoy self-guided tours, refreshments, door prizes, health demonstrations and screenings. The Waynesville Medical Plaza is located at 1000 GW Lane in Waynesville.

Chamber Quarterly +1 Luncheon - August 12th at 11:30 a.m. at the The ARK Community and Sports Center with catering by Sweetwater BBQ. Our sponsor will be Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Please contact the Chamber Office to RSVP before 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 11th.

**Please note** The Chamber of Commerce is excited to have such a large number of its members attend monthly luncheons. Unfortunately, due to the large number of last minute Chamber luncheon attendees a policy has been put into place by the Chamber Board of Directors. This policy started in APRIL 2005; anyone who responds after the R.s.v.p. cut-off time (9:00 a.m. the Tuesday before the luncheon) or shows up without an R.s.v.p. may be charged an additional $10. If an R.s.v.p. is received and they do not attend the luncheon there may be a $10 charged for the meal. The decision was made to charge this amount to compensate our Chamber member restaurants for the last minute adjusts they must make to their menus.

Back to School Extravaganza!! - August 15th, Students are going back to school, to get them ready come out to The ARK Community and Sports Center for free backpacks and school supplies. The Back to School Extravaganza at 10:00 a.m. Free haircuts, dental and hygiene care, parenting help, counseling, and special needs resources, emotional, and spiritual support and much more available. Drawing Class - August 15th, local artist Vince Loney will be teaching another free drawing class from 10:30-11:00. Class is open to patrons twelve and older. Children twelve through fourteen must be accompanied by an adult. Drawing materials will be provided by the library.

Operation Workforce Job Fair - August 27th, Looking for a job? Then plan to attend! The Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce presents the 11th Annual Operation Workforce Job Fair. Interviewing booths will be available for on-site employee/employer interviews. This event will take place Thursday at the The ARK Community and Sports Center from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with set up from 9:00 a.m to 10:00 a.m. OPERATION WORKFORCE is a workforce recruitment program promoting the connection between employees and potential employers. The Challenge - September 12th in the Waynesville City Park. Check-in will begin at 8:00 a.m. with Pre-registration at 8:30 a.m. and the Challenge starts at 9:00 a.m. Participants will make up teams of two and will race to complete challenges. The first team to successfully complete all challenges and cross the finish line will be the event winner. Pre-Register by August 28th: $20 per person, $10 for children 12 and under. T-shirts limited to Pre-Registrations only. Same-day Registration is $25 per person, $12 for children 12 and under. Teams of 2, one person on each team must be 18 or older.

Missouri Business Conference - September 23rd, Chamber members are invited to attend the annual Missouri Business Conference hosted by Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler. This conference will take place on Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the University of Central Missouri campus in Elliott Union 240. This conference serves as an opportunity for small business owners and enterpreneurs to network with each other, learn more about how to grow their businesses, and find out about business services available to aid in their day-to-day functions. Military Appreciation Day - September 26th at Busch Stadium. The St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers; game time is 6:15 p.m.; $15.00 (cost includes Tailgate Party).
