Ribbon Cutting for Eyewear Express of Missouri, LLC - September 5th at 10 a.m. at 320 Ichord Ave. in Waynesville.

"Flood Aid" Benefit Concert - September 5th. Doors to open at 6:00 p.m., show starts at 7:00 p.m. Concert to be held at the Waynesville High School!!! As members of the Pulaski County community, we at Kricket Alley want to do something to help provide some relief to victims of the recent flooding that hit our area. As a result we've been working behind the scenes with the City of Waynesville who is our co-sponsor, 98.9 FM KFLW Radio, Lone Oak Printing, and numerous other civic organizations and businesses to get the ball rolling. All proceeds earned will be donated directly to the local flood relief fund or charities working to assist flood victims.

Kids Night Out! - September 6th, No Parents Allowed 6 p.m -9 p.m. September's theme is "It's a Veggie Kind of Birthday" a pre-birthday celebration for you know who!!!!

St. Louis Cardinal's Military Appreciation Day - September 7th at Busch Stadium. Over 1400 tickets available to our Chapter and FLW. Come see our Cardinals beat up on the Pittsburgh Pirates! $53 face value ticket reduced to $30 for Corporate members and $10 for Active Duty Soldiers and family members. Your ticket includes a Tail Gate prior to game time. Click for details.

Kids Harbor Homemade Boat Races - September 8th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Homemade boat races, duck paddle races, canoe and kayak races, stand up paddle boat races and paddle boat races. Sponsors needed. Gold sponsorship $500 and Silver sponsorship $250. Contact Cara at 573-348-6886.

College Career Night - September 10th, The Waynesville High School Guidance Department will host the annual College Career Night program from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. Representatives from colleges, technical schools, military, and various other organizations will be available to talk with students and parents concerning programs, financial aid, entrance requirements and other pertinent information. Students and parents from Waynesville High School and area schools are invited to attend.

Chamber Luncheon - September 11th at 11:45 a.m. at the Greater Community Family Center on Y Highway across from the Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church. Our sponsor will be Cable America. Please contact the Chamber Office to RSVP before 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 10th.

**Please note** The Chamber of Commerce is excited to have such a large number of its members attend monthly luncheons. Unfortunately, due to the large number of last minute Chamber luncheon attendees a policy has been put into place by the Chamber Board of Directors. This policy started in APRIL 2005; anyone who responds after the R.s.v.p. cut-off time (9:00 a.m. the Tuesday before the luncheon) or shows up without an R.s.v.p. may be charged an additional $10. If an R.s.v.p. is received and they do not attend the luncheon there may be a $10 charged for the meal. The decision was made to charge this amount to compensate our Chamber member restaurants for the last minute adjusts they must make to their menus

Ribbon Cutting for Century 21 Prestige Real Estate - September 11th at 1:30 p.m. at their new location, 100 Bosa Dr., Ste. C in St. Robert.

Recycle your Electronics & Appliances - September 14th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., bring your old unwanted electronics and appliances to the St. Robert Community Center. Household items only, no materials from businesses. There will be a $5.00 fee for TVs and computer monitors. Unload yourself. Contact MRPC at 573-265-2993.

Be the First to Know - September 18th at 12 noon for Mercy Health Foundation's FIRST TO KNOW. This informative luncheon series will feature Dr. Tyler Grout, podiatry and Dr. Aaron Dent, ophthalmology. The Mercy physicians will present, "We've Got You Covered From Head To Toe." Veterans Cemetery Assistance Association General Membership Meeting - September 20th, at 5 pm on the Cemetery grounds. During this meeting a board of seven members will be elected to serve until 2015. All persons interested in the operation and improvement of the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Fort Leonard Wood are encouraged to attend and participate in this annual meeting. Fort Leonard Wood Triathlon - September 21st, The Fort Leonard Wood Sports Department is planning to host a Sprint Triathlon. Distances are a .5 mile swim, 12.4 mile bike and 3.1 mile run. Fishing Derby /Cub Olympics event - September 21st 9 a.m till 1 p.m.- Come to our FREE District Fishing Derby /Cub Olympics event and get to use their new fishing pole. http://ozarktrailsbsa.org/

VeggieTales Musical Birthday Event - September 22nd, VeggieTales invites you and your family to the Ultimate LIVE musical birthday event!!. The ARK Community and Sports Center is hosting VeggieTales Live! Happy Birthday Bob & Larry at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased at the ARK Community and Sports Center or at itickets.

MPRA Golf Tournament - September 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The tournament will be held at the Piney Valley Golf Course on Fort Leonard Wood, and is open to all Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, Retired Military, and civilian personnel affiliated with the Military Police Corps Regiment. Great Yard Sale returns to Post - September 28th, Fort Leonard Wood's Great Fall Cleaning Yard Sale is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to noon in the Baker Theater auxiliary parking lot. Registration is required before September 27th at the Davidson Fitness Center. The Fort Leonard Wood Thrift Shop plans to collect donations until noon, September 28th. Rain date is September 29th. Open to all sellers and buyers. The following items cannot be sold: weapons, food items, animals or livestock, and retail items such as Avon, Tupperware, Scentsy, etc. For more information, call the FMWR Special Events office at 573-596-6913.

Frog Races - October 5th the 6th Annual Frog Races will be held by the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Frogtober Fest at the Waynesville City Park. "Adopt" a frog for $5 or a team of 3 for $10. Frogs will race down the Roubidoux and the first heat will begin at 1 p.m. The Frog Race is sponsored by Sonic Drive In. Chamber Community Pride Night - October 11th at 6:00 p.m. Join the Chamber at a tailgate party before the Homecoming Football Game of the Waynesville High School Tigers. Free hot dogs and soda handed out during the event. For more information contact our office at 573-336-5121.
