Governmental & Military Affairs Committee


The Governmental & Military Affairs
committee meets the first Thursday of every month at Noon. The
mission statement is "To establish and foster a positive relationship
among local business, government, and the military community by
interacting and educating one another in a cooperative and friendly
manner, thereby enhancing patriotism and pride at home and abroad".
This committee is responsible for the
Community Forum that is held at the Waynesville High School Library
every year in January. This forum has proved to be helpful in
keeping the community aware of the activities going on in the
area.
This committee
was the driving force in the fundraising efforts for the Veteran's
Memorial to be placed in the Veterans' Cemetery in West Waynesville.
