2012 Economic Development Community Forum & High School Debate

The Chamber would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2012 Community Forum held February 9th at the Waynesville High School Auditorium. The evening started with a debate from the Waynesville High School Debate Team where team members Brenna O-Donnell and Leneisa Parks debated the issue of a smoking ban. The community forum panel served as the judges for the debate and declared Leneisa Parks the winner. Speakers for the evening included COL Spellmon from Fort Leonard Wood, Mayor Sanders from St. Robert, Mayor Hammock from Waynesville, Dr. Blackburn from Waynesville R-VI School District, and Presiding Commissioner Newkirk from Pulaski County. Each speaker gave brief comments and then answered questions presented to the panel from the community. The debate and forum was broadcasted live on Channel 12. The Chamber would also like to thank the volunteers that helped to make the event a success.
