Veterans have done more than anyone else to guarantee our freedom, our democracy, and our way of life. This monument is built in appreciation of their service and  sacrifices.

The monument will consist of a granite-faced pedestal with the seals of our armed services—Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard.  On top of the pedestal will be a sculpture representing the “Flames of Freedom” in symbolic recognition of  the sacrifices of all our nation’s veterans and their dedication to the ideals of freedom at home and abroad. 

The monument will be placed at the proposed Veterans’ Cemetery in the Fort Leonard Wood-West Waynesville area. This location will afford visibility and access.
